Holiday Update

Wow it has been a few months!  We spent a week in Disneyland in November and had a blast.  I think we tried to do too much in such little time though.  We did not get to the beach until later in the week but I almost think that this was the kids favorite part of the trip, wish we would have planned more time at the beach.  Hallie Jo loved meeting all of the characters and getting their signatures.  We waited in many long lines to meet many princesses.  When we got home it was time for Thanksgiving and then Christmas was upon us and now it is almost Valentines.  I am always so glad when Valentines comes: 1)because we will be celebrating eight wonderful years of marriage and 2)because it is my favorite holiday.  I love having a holiday that is only about love.  I am grateful for all the people in my life who are so dear to me, especially for my wonderful husband.  I could not ask for anything more.  I have all I need in my life because I have him.  My kids are pretty great as well.  They sure bring a smile to my face when I need it the most.  Happy Valentines to all of you and may your Valentines Day be filled with more love than you could ask for.

On a bit of a sadder note, my grandmother is very ill and is not expected to live much longer.  I have come to truly respect and love my grandmother very well and I know that she will be going to a better place but she will truly be missed.  I wish that I could have been more receptive to her wisdom as I was growing.  She has taught me so many things these past couple of years and more than that, Hallie Jo has come to know and love her Grammy very much.  Hallie Jo said to me the other day, "I don't want Grammy to die."  I know that this is going to be very hard on her and I hope that I can take this opportunity to teach her more about our eternal salvation.
We Love You Grandma and Grammy
